I remember a piece from the Whitney Biennial in the mid-nineties by Nancy Rubins that involved old found mattresses and cinnamon-spice-cake that was awesome. Felix Gonzales Torres' pieces with candy, Janine Antoni's work with chocolate, Gabriel Orozco's grocery-store interventions, Jeane Dunning's photographs and a video where she used icing and iced a woman's head all come to mind as good ones.
